The ladies of Alpha Omicron Pi may keep busy with our academics, philanthropy events, and other extracurriculars, but we also enjoy social events together! These include fun exchanges and date parties that we always look forward to! Keep reading to learn more...
Exchanges
An exchange is when two Greek organizations come together to throw a themed event. The themes change from quarter to quarter and allow everyone to be unique and creative! Past themes have included 80's Prom, Disney Mania, Cal Poly Spirit, and Proud to be an American. Exchanges are held at various locations in the San Luis Obispo area, and transportation is always provided to and from the venue. These events are a great opportunity to get to know other Greek chapters at Cal Poly and make creative costumes with your sisters!
Date Parties
Like exchanges, date parties are held at a local venue with transportation to and from the event. We have one date party per quarter where the ladies of AOII choose a date to bring to the event that may or may not be a member of the Greek Community. A themed date party in Fall Quarter allows every couple to get creative with coordinating costumes, and a semi-formal in Winter Quarter calls for classy cocktail dresses. This past fall's date party theme was "Opposites Attract" and last winter's semi-formal was held on the beautiful harbor at Avila Beach. We end our social events for the year in style and glamour with our annual formal in Spring Quarter, where our sisters are dressed to the nines! The ladies of AOII and their dates get together for dinner before the event, and dance the night away. It's a great way to make lasting memories with sisters, and it's always fun to get dressed up!
